We didn't arrive here by ourselves.

No one did.

Each one of us, was born through the body of our mother, even if we had a difficult relationship with our mother, even if we didn’t know our particular mother.

Not one of us arrived here alone or without the cooperation of trillions upon trillions of mothers.

We are part of a complex interconnecting web of matrilineal circles of Ancestor lines which each of us can trace through Earth's evolution.

 If we travel far enough back, we will meet each other as dust particles in the nanosecond after the Universe exploded into life.

We were there as the Universe birthed itself into a trillion billion stars. We were there as the body of Gaia formed into the blue planet that we call Earth.

We were here as the Earth evolved through the birth of the first atoms of helium, hydrogen, deuterium, lithium, tritium, beryllium - and later nitrogen, carbon and oxygen.

We were here as the lava cooled, and the seas formed. Our ancestors were here as microbes, bacteria, and amoeba. We were here as the earliest plants, fungi and moss, lichens and liverwort greened into life. 

We were here as iteration upon iteration of cells morphed into simple organisms ever evolving into more complex colonies of brains - morphing into ammonites and giant sea creatures, turtles and whales, and huge ambling dinosaurs and the first birds.

Human was birthed from these many bodies interspersed with the generative energy of Gaia.

Our ancestors learned the language of the ancient long horned Auroch, the Woolly Mammoth, the Oyster and the Eel, the Eagle, and the Albatross.

They learned to speak Oak, Rock, and Mountain. They learnt River, Lightning, Thunder, Rain, and Snow.

Our ancestors grew their minds with the language of the living world.

Our ancestors were in communion with the moon and the stars. Our ancestors lived with the seasons and the tides, the rhythms of night and day.

We are surrounded by our planetary Ancestors - from the air we breathe to the ground we walk on. We are the outcome of every Ancestor who has ever been and is yet to come.

We are part of, and, connected to a living field of co-creative Ancestors.

All of these Beings who have lived before us, our planetary Cosmic Ancestors, Our Land Kin – our Plant, Animal and Mineral allies and Blood Kin ancestors – those resourceful, creative, curious, resilient, wise Human Ancestors, and our personal ancestors – our mothers and fathers, our grandmothers and grandfathers, our great, great, great, grandparents – have all left an imprint within us.

Each one of us has the full quotient of healthy, loving, generous, wise, respectful, inspired Ancestors.

Not one of us has less than we need.
