Greetings from Suzette
& Visual Medicineâ„¢

Greetings Friends,
Here in London, winter enfolds the world in rain-muted hues. Holly berries, some straggling flowers that have survived the frost, grass that has not yet succumbed to winter mud bring a ping of colour. As my eyes adjust to the darkness of the shortened days I am drawn to looking at thousands of brilliantly coloured photos I have taken over the year that are made even more brilliant by the digital screen of my computer.
Coming close to winter Equinox this is what I'm looking at to remember luminosity within and without - keep scrolling to the end...
When we truly see the beauty of the world, it doesn’t just transform our perception - it transforms us. We are not separate from this beauty - we are an integral part of it, shaping it as it shapes us. We are co-creators, weaving ourselves into the fabric of the world’s ongoing creation.
This connection is cellular, primal, and alive. Our bodies resonate with the beauty of Earth. We carry within us the essence of all the ancestors—not just the human ones - but trees, rivers, mountains, stardust, and the quadrillions upon quintillions of microorganisms that first dreamed the world into being. We are their living legacy, and through us, their creation continues.

When we hold this knowing - that we are both artists and the artwork - our place in the world shifts. We are no longer separate observers but active participants in the infinite beauty of becoming. And as we co-create with this boundless source, we honor the traces of everything that has ever been, etched within the very fibers of our being.

"We are not radically separate from what we commonly conceive of as external reality... the world is not a place that is created once and then waits for us to discover it. The world comes into being moment by moment, dependant on our participation. "

Through my practice as artist and teacher, I have spent over five decades working with this understanding not as an "idea" but lived embodied research that shows itself on the page and canvas. Visual Medicineâ„¢ is the precious outcome of this research.
Playing with the radical simplicity of this practice, we can bypass the need for skill or technique and instead meet the wellspring of universal creativity that opens hands and hearts. The images that emerge are not just paintings but conversations with the Infinite - unfolding, alive, and deeply personal. In this space, the act of creating becomes an act of remembering: You are already an artist. You always have been.
In these coming years we will need all of our collective creative resources and more to face the challenges that are exponentially rising in the world. This is not a prediction. This is where we are.
Our vast Creation Ancestors are our greatest and most loving allies.
The Creation Ancestors are waiting to speak with you...

This mystery lives in the patterns of the earth giving birth to itself and the fluid aliveness of every atom, neuron and cell. Visual Medicineâ„¢ is a way of receiving these voices.
Love and creativity,
Suzette

Painting is my Spirit practice. It is a way of tapping into a world that is invisible, interconnected and vibrantly alive. Painting is a portal to experiencing that we, too, are part of Creation. My lifelong work and love is in synthesizing creativity, spirituality and embodied emotional intelligence as an oracular path. Spirit loves to be made material.
