Today is May Day - a celebration of labour - the fight for the 8-hour day, unionism, and the inestimable value of workers worldwide.
In the Northern Hemisphere May 1st marks the Celtic festival of Beltane - the beginning of summer - renewal, fertility and joyful blossoming after a long dark winter.
I wanted to acknowledge both aspects of this day by creating a vision book that speaks to the energy of new beginnings, new patterns of liberation and fresh ways of seeing.
Vision Books are a contemporary version of illuminated manuscripts - immersive, and written in the language of images. Each book is created in the alchemical lineage of artists as healers and storytellers of the Soul.
The Visual Medicine images in this vision book are made without brushes. The images emerge organically revealing the cosmic artistry of the Universe through the free flow of paint onto paper.
This vision book is a gift to you (just save the link - it will always be active). It celebrates colour, renewal, flow, eros and the birth of new projects - especially those works that may have been buried waiting for the fire of the sun represented by the Celtic god - Bel(tane) - to birth them.
